Make no mistake, though—just because it’s modestly priced, that doesn’t mean it’s cheap. The Trax comes with plenty of standard comfort and convenience features, including wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, multiple USB ports, and the Chevy Safety Assist suite of driver assistance features. Its low price tag also makes it easy to spring for upgraded features like the 11-inch center touch screen, wireless phone charging, in-vehicle Wi-Fi, and more. Trailblazer: Chevy SUV with the Best Fuel Economy The Trailblazer is another strong contender for shoppers seeking a Chevy SUV that’s easy to afford, but it also has the distinction of having some of the best fuel economy, which makes it even more wallet-friendly for thrifty families. When optioned with the 1.3-liter engine and front-wheel drive, it’s capable of over 30 MPG combined, which is undeniably solid for a non-hybrid. In addition to its competitive gas mileage, it also comes with more standard features than the lower-priced Trax, including the 11-inch HD center touch screen display and 8-inch Driver Information Center. Tahoe: Chevy SUV with the Highest Towing Capacity The Tahoe is known for its impressive capability, making it the most powerful of all the Chevy SUVs. It boasts a towing capacity of up to 8,400 pounds when properly equipped, and it has multiple available engines to choose from, including the standard 5.3-liter V8 with 355 horsepower and the recently upgraded 3.0-liter Duramax® Turbo-Diesel. Trailering potential can be complemented even further with up to 14 available camera views, making it easier than ever to haul boats, travel trailers, and more for your next vacation. It also has some of the highest performance potential, especially when optioned with the Z71 trim with all-terrain tires or the RST Performance Edition package with the souped-up 6.2-liter V8 engine. Suburban: Most Spacious Chevy SUV The Suburban is the Tahoe’s larger sibling, and it shares many of the same features, including a selection of three powerful engines, a massive towing capacity, and an incredibly well-appointed interior with a standard 17.7-inch center touch screen with Google built-in compatibility, plus available features like dual rear entertainment screens and Super Cruise hands-free driving. However, the main difference between the two is their size. The Suburban has seating for up to 9 people and 144.5 cubic feet of max cargo volume, which is over 20 cubic feet of extra storage space compared to the Tahoe. Because of this, the Suburban is often considered the ultimate family vehicle. Equinox EV: Electric Chevy SUV with the Longest Range Chevy’s been slowly adding some seriously impressive electric vehicles to its roster, but the Equinox EV is perhaps the best choice for families who want an EV SUV with the most driving range possible. Thanks to forward-thinking tech like One-Pedal Driving and Regen on Demand, it can drive up to 319 miles on a single charge when equipped with front-wheel drive. Of course, it also comes with a ton of other great perks, including the standard 17.7-inch center touch screen with Google built-in and a spacious cabin with nearly 60 cubic feet of cargo capacity, all at a stellar price. First Look: New 2026 Chevy Equinox Features
As we start to wind down and close out 2025, the 2026 models of popular vehicles have steadily been rolling out. One Chevy SUV in particular has gotten quite a bit of attention for the next update: the 2026 Chevy Equinox. The 2025 Chevy Equinox saw a sweeping redesign, but what does the new 2026 version have to offer? Let’s look at the 2026 Equinox SUV updates to see what exciting features are going to be available moving forward. If you’ve been looking for a new SUV near Savanna, read on to find out if the 2026 Equinox is the right choice. more 2026 Chevy Equinox: Exterior The 2025 Equinox saw an overhaul in terms of design as the first year of the vehicle’s fourth generation. The 2026 model carries over most of those updates with minimal changes, though what has changed is exciting. The overall size of the 2026 model is slightly larger than the 2025 model, but only as far as the exterior is concerned; the interior dimensions remain the same. The grille and fascia have been updated to be wider and a bit sportier to live up to the SUV moniker. The headlights have also slimmed down a bit, with thinner LEDs taking their place. Roof rails have been removed from 2025’s Convenience package and placed in the Midnight Edition package. Lastly, the big change for the 2026 Chevy Equinox exterior is the new Polar White Tricoat finish, which replaces 2025’s Iridescnt Pearl Tricoat. 2026 Chevy Equinox: Interior The 2026 Chevy Equinox doesn’t differ too much from the 2025 model inside the cabin, though the materials are a little softer to the touch to impart a sense of luxury. The physical drive mode selector, which was only on the ACTIV and RS trims for 2025, is now standard on all trims for the 2026 version. Chevy also tweaked the design of the vehicle to make the cabin a little quieter compared to the 2025 model. It still can seat up to five passengers comfortably with 104.3 cubic feet of passenger volume; max cargo clocks in at 63.5 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down. New Equinox Safety and Tech The 2026 Chevy Equinox keeps the standard 11.3” infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity standard across all trims. Wireless charging pads and a premium audio system are available features for those who want the extra comforts. Safety features remain largely unchanged, though the 2026 model adds in intersection auto emergency braking and lane centering to the standard suite instead of being available upgrades. 2026 Equinox Trims and Specs The 2025 and 2026 Chevy Equinox models feature the same engine and drivetrains: a 1.5L, turbo four-cylinder worth 175 horsepower and your choice of front-wheel drive (standard) or all-wheel drive (available). FWD gets a continuously variable transmission; AWD gets an eight-speed auto transmission. The 2026 Chevy Equinox trims remain the same as the 2025 version as well: 2026 Chevy Equinox LT: $28,700 2026 Chevy Equinox RS: $33,600 2026 Chevy Equinox ACTIV: $33,600 There’s also the 2026 Chevy Equinox EV, but we review that model separately. Chevy Silverado 1500 Towing Capacity and Specs
One of the main benefits of owning a pickup truck is that it allows you to tow far more weight than other types of vehicles, and the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has some of the best towing capacity in the game. It also has a ton of available towing tech that makes pulling campers, boats, and other things easier than ever. Read on to discover why the Silverado is the best choice for shoppers looking for the perfect machine for work and play in Savanna, IL. more 2026 Chevy Silverado Towing Capacity at a Glance The Silverado 1500’s max trailering numbers will depend largely on which powertrain it’s equipped with. There are four available engines, as well as a choice between rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. Here are the maximum trailering specs for each available engine and drivetrain combo: TurboMax™ 2.7-liter: 9,500 lbs. (RWD), 9,300 lbs. (4WD) EcoTec3 5.3-liter V8: 11,300 lbs. (RWD), 11,100 lbs. (4WD) EcoTec3 6.2-liter V8: 13,200 lbs. (4WD only) Duramax™ 3.0-liter Turbo Diesel: 13,300 lbs. (2WD), 13,000 lbs. (4WD) The max towing capacity for the 2026 Silverado 1500 is 13,300 pounds, and requires the powerful Duramax™ Turbo Diesel engine, which cranks out an impressive 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. When properly equipped, the 6.2-liter V8 gas engine can also tow over 13,000 pounds, making the Silverado one of the only full-size pickup trucks with two separate engines that can achieve these numbers. Shoppers may notice that, generally speaking, trucks with rear-wheel drive have a slightly higher average towing capacity than those with 4WD. To put it simply, this is because 4WD trucks tend to have a higher curb weight (in layman’s terms, that means they’re heavier). There are a few other important factors that also affect towing capacity, including the cab size, bed length, and axle ratio. If all of this sounds overwhelming, fret not—just contact our Chevy dealership in Savanna, IL, and our towing experts will steer you in the right direction. How to Determine Chevy Silverado Towing Capacity It’s important to note that the figures we mentioned above are max trailering ratings, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll always be able to safely tow quite that much. There are a few ways to calculate your Silverado’s exact towing capacity. The first method is to check either the owner’s manual or the trailering info sticker, which you can find on the doorjamb on the driver’s side. You’ll find a few different terms on here, including GVWR, GCWR, and curb weight. With this info, you can work out the max towing capacity like this: Take the truck’s listed curb weight Add the weight of any passengers and cargo, as well as the weight of the fuel in the tank Subtract that number from the truck’s GCWR (Gross Combined Weight Rating) This number will be the truck’s true max trailering capacity Of course, some folks don’t feel like doing a bunch of math every time they want to haul their camper. That’s why Chevy includes a Load Calculator in the myChevrolet app, which can be accessed from your mobile device. Available Towing Technology for the Silverado 1500 In addition to the myChevrolet Load Calculator, Chevy offers a ton of additional trailering tech to help you tow safely and efficiently. Here are a few key features. In-Vehicle Trailering App When equipped with the Advanced Trailering Package, the Silverado comes with the in-vehicle trailering app, which provides tons of available towing-specific information, like: Up to 5 customizable trailer profiles Tow/Haul Mode Reminder Pre-Departure Checklist Trailer Maintenance Reminders Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring Trailer Light Test Trailer Theft Detection And more Using this intuitive app, you can tow with the utmost confidence and ensure that every trip goes smoothly. Trailering Camera Technologies In addition to the available trailering app, the Silverado can be kitted out with up to eight external cameras, including: 1 Front Grille Camera 2 Side Mirror Cameras 1 Bew View Camera 1 Rear Camera Mirror 1 Rear View Camera 2 Accessory Cameras (for trailer use) Utilizing these cameras and their associated tech features, the Silverado 1500 is capable of providing up to 14 camera views: Rear Camera Mirror Front Camera View Rear Camera View HD Surround View Front Top-Down View Rear Top-Down View Front Side View Rear Side View Pic-in-Pic Side View Hitch View Bed View Rear Trailer View Inside Trailer View Transparent Trailer View Find the Chevy Silverado for Sale in Savanna, IL At Ed Morse Chevrolet Savanna, we have an excellent selection of new Chevy Silverado 1500 models for sale, and with our Backed by Morse price protection, you can shop knowing you’re getting one of the best prices around.
