Corvettes are instantly recognizable vehicles and have a long legacy as American-made supercars. Since 1953, they’ve pushed the boundaries of performance, design, and aerodynamics to those who value power, speed, and style above all. With 2026 quickly approaching, that means it’s time to look at the newest Corvette that’s about to join a storied lineup and history: the 2026 Chevy Corvette Zora, aka, the 2026 Chevy Corvette ZR1X.
Now, “Zora” is only a codename for the new model that’s coming out. But the first looks are so promising, it almost doesn’t matter what they call it. Put bluntly, it has a beastly engine that will make certain Italian supercars blush, and it will look quite at home whether it’s parked in your driveway or tearing up the racetrack. But, without further ado, let’s look at what we know so far about the Chevy Corvette Zora price and specs, and what we can expect to see from this next-gen vehicle.
2026 Chevy Corvette Zora Specs
The Chevy Corvette Zora, or ZR1X, packs an almost unbelievable amount of power. It features the LT7 5.5L, V-8 engine (found in the Chevy Corvette ZR1), worth an already impressive 1,064 horsepower, that drives the rear axle. To up the ante, Chevy then paired a 186-horsepower electric motor, tied to the front axle, to bring the total horsepower to a jaw-dropping 1,250. That’s right, the Chevy Corvette Zora is a hybrid and delivers exciting results. Since there are two motors powering the axles, the Zora is all-wheel drive standard, which only increases its handling, and let’s be honest, fun.
For 0-60 time, you won’t be disappointed. Quite the opposite, really. Chevy is reportedly saying that the Zora will hit 0-60 in under two seconds and can clear a quarter mile in under nine seconds. The Zora’s Chief Engineer, Josh Holder, says that the ZR1X was inspired by and improves upon the combination of the Corvette ZR1 and the Corvette E-Ray. We wholeheartedly agree.
For drivers who want to make a quiet getaway in the morning without waking the neighbors, Stealth Mode runs purely on the electric motor. You’ll make it about four miles with top speeds of 45 mph when it’s activated.
2026 Chevy Corvette Concept Overview

Every inch of the Corvette ZR1X is designed to support and enhance performance. Whether you choose the hard-top coupe or the convertible, aerodynamics and thermal management are at the forefront of the Zora’s concept and design. Many components of the Zora are built from carbon fiber for a lightweight body that’s still plenty durable. There’s the ZR1X Carbon Fiber Aero package that adds a spoiler, underbody strakes, and more to add 1,200 lbs. of downforce. The Zora also comes standard with enhanced side air inlets and a flow-through hood to cool the vehicle as you go.
2026 Chevy Corvette Zora Technology
